WOW!! It's nearly December 2009. I completely missed celebrating Dark Star's 18th birthday on Oct 3rd and didn't get an e-mail out to you for November. So needless to say, we must catch up. As many of the regulars know I have been busy getting my Real Estate license to supplement Dark Star. Hence the oversight on the celebration of the anniversary. So I do want to make it up to you. I will be offering our 40% off coupon for the first 10 days of December, so be sure and print the coupon off of the news letter.

Dark Star has gotten beautiful clothing and accessories in from Avatar, Funky People and Earth Creations. Cute, cute , cute jackets! Come by and check it out . Lots of comfy knits to layer for those cold nights ahead. Also a great line of Tights and Leggins in 100% cottons, bamboo, and some in opaque nylon. We have a lot of new accessories for the gift giving season ahead! Check out our beautiful scarves, warm wear accessories, small hand bags and more. We have a new line of Sterling Silver arriving from Silver Forest this week and also a new line of scented soy candles as well. Sterling findings have just been delivered and next week we should have another run of new beads and some antique brass componets as well. Whatever your needs at Dark Star Visuals, we aim to please. To partner in with the other downtown merchants on the 1st Thursday, Dark Star will be hosting our annual Open House on Dec. 3rd from 5-8PM. We will be featuring a special jewelry showing by artist Gina Bozoian. Drop in for refreshments and kick off your holiday shopping extravaganza and enjoy 25% off all regular in-store merchandise ONE NIGHT ONLY! 18 YEARS and still going strong! Be sure to check out Goodthings next door... they will be hosting an open house and trunk show on the same evening. It should be a wonderful time.

This is a great time to go through all of your old and broken jewelry to repair or recycle into a new fashion statement. Any treasures that you may have found while out thrift shopping that you want to re-create? We can help. We can always custom design something you've seen but can't afford.

We do all sorts of restringing including pearl knotting and repairs for a fraction of the cost of a diamond store. We use high quality sterling silver and gold filled componets or the less expensive plated. Whatever your needs, we can help and will have it back to you in a timely manner.

Why not book an after hours party for you and your friends to celebrate the holiday while learning a skill. Oh, you could call it the Christmas Party! Refreshments are encouraged. For a six dollar studio fee and a minimum of eight people you can have the place to yourself, from 6:00- 10:00pm week nights or 5:00–9:00pm on Friday or Saturday. We will either teach you how to or do it for you... whatever strikes your fancy. We can make beach jewelry or glitzy night club bling... any theme that you are after. Just be sure to call and book your reservation... it could be a busy month ! Brides to be, keep in mind we can host your bachelorette parties or design your one of a kind jewelry for the entire wedding party at a fraction of the cost!
